Please Stop Laughing At Me

This is a true story. It’s called Please Stop Laughing at me by Jodee Blanco .There’s a girl named Jodee Blanco and she was teased in elementary school, middle school, and most of all in high school. I think this story is tragedy. No matter how much they teased her she was still as strong as possible.
Since she’s going to a high school reunion she’s thinking back. Even though she was scared
she was trying to make herself go before she backs down. To herself she’s thinking that everybody’s going to be mature and nice to her.
Inside her head she was thinking into the past from the first day of high school.
Jodee started high school in Samuel’s. She was really scared because she thought everybody was going to be the same way in Middle and Elementary. Her mom was desperate for everybody to stop teasing her. She got new shoes and clothes. Her bus was here and there was nowhere to sit, except at the front by the driver where they called it “The loser’s seat”. So, she sat there. When she put her hand in her hair there it was a spit ball full of spit. When she took it out everybody started to spit more at her. Jodee was still strong and she didn’t yell at anybody.
All though she’s still scared and she thinking about the past. This time Jodee was thinking about the time she was in public speaking. The person who’s was suppose to be first was absent. So she was next and she froze. The teacher asked “what’s wrong didn’t you get and A in this class” and everybody laughed at her.

Jodee finally goes in the reunion and everybody’s happy to see her. She saw the captain of the football team. His name is Tyler and he said she looked great! After that he said that he was sorry for making fun of her and teasing her and he was sorry. He told her that he liked her too, but he was afraid what everybody would think. Even though everybody teased her and she went to the reunion and Samuel’s High School she was confident (kind of) and strong

  1. It sounds as though there are some great lessons to be learned in this story. I'm wondering why the other students were not disciplined by the principal but maybe the students were sneaky about making fun of her and it's possible the teachers never noticed what was going on. Anyway, it sounds like a good book. Thanks for sharing.
